In order to purchase books from Feedbooks' ebookstore, you must register a credit card to your account. This is necessary in order to allow "one-click" purchasing, since most of Feedbooks' users are visiting from mobile devices.
Registering a credit card with Feedbooks is completely secure. Adding your card is handled over an https secure connection. All our transactions are handled by an independent bank (Credit Mutuel). In addition, in accordance with French law, your credit card information is not hosted on Feedbooks servers, nor do we ever have access to it.
I can't register my credit card.
If you are getting an error message when you try to register your card, the most common reason is that your bank is blocking transactions from Feedbooks. Please contact them and make sure this is not the case.
I see charges from Feedbooks on my account after registering my card.
When you register a credit card with Feedbooks, our payment management system sends a $1.10 charge to verify that the card is valid. The charge is then cancelled / refunded. This is standard practice and most banks handle the procedure transparently, and the charges do not even appear on your account, however some banks depending on their internal procedures do pass along these charges to the customer. It may take up to one week for some banks to refund/cancel the transaction, please let us know if the amount still appears on your account seven days after the transaction. For questions about this procedure, please contact your bank directly.
My card isn't accepted.
Please note that Feedbooks' payment system is not compatible with check cards, gift cards, or pre-paid cards. These types of cards are not compatible with a "one-click" purchasing system. In addition, there is currently a bug with American Express cards; we have alerted American Express to this and they are working on a solution, but in the meantime we recommend you register a different card, if possible.
I want to add a new card / delete my credit card from my account
You can access and update or delete your credit cards at any time when signed in to your account. Just click on "Settings" at the top of the page, then "Manage my payment methods".
What is the "Card Name"?
When you add a credit card to your account, one of the fields is "card name". The card name is simply a reference for you which will allow you to easily distinguish between more than one card if you register more than one to your account. It can be anything you like which makes sense to you. Since you can switch between cards at any time it's important that you are able to easily figure out which card is active.
